What is a Patient Portal? A patient portal is a free, secure online website that gives patients convenient, 24-hour access to your essential health information and medical records without ever having to leave your home. The Patient Portal also allows you to easily download or print your health information, and even securely share it with your doctor.

 

Bakersfield Heart Hospital’s Patient Portal gives you fast and easy access to view and share health information located in your Bakersfield Heart Hospital Electronic Health Record.

 

Registering for the Patient Portal is easy! When you register as a patient, you will be invited to create a Patient Portal account. You will be asked to provide an email address and you will receive a link to the Patient Portal. Check your email and use the link to launch the online Patient Portal. Set up your account before you leave and if you need assistance, registration staff can help you.

How can I register for the Patient Portal?
When you register for your stay as a patient you will be invited to create a the Patient Portal account. You will be asked to provide an email address and the answer to a security question. An email will be sent to the address you provided with a link inviting you to join the Patient Portal. Simply click on the link and follow the steps to register for an account.
Is the Patient Portal secure?
We take great care to ensure that your health information is private and secure. Access to health information is provided after your identity is verified at registration and can only be accessed by your email address or user name and the personalized password that you choose.
What is your privacy policy?
The Patient Portal is fully compliant with state and federal laws pertaining to your privacy. Your account information will be treated with the same care and privacy given to your health records.
Is there a fee for using the Patient Portal?
No, the Patient Portal is a free service offered to our patients.
Is my entire health history included in the Patient Portal?
No. Some of the more commonly requested results for services provided at Bakersfield Heart Hospital are available through your Patient Portal account. The medical history presented on the Patient Portal will only to back as far as January 2018, the date of the initial launch.
What if I want to access my health information prior to January 2018?

What information can I access on the Patient Portal?
Some of the more commonly requested results and documents from your stay at Bakersfield Heart Hospital are available to securely view, print, download or share with your provider. These include certain lab results, current medications, immunizations, allergies, discharge instructions, and educational material.
What devices can I use to access the Patient Portal?
You can access the Patient Portal on any device that has access to the internet. Devices with larger screens (ex: Personal Computer, Laptop, Tablet) are recommended for a better user experience.
When can I sign into the Patient Portal?
The Patient Portal is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It’s real-time access, on your time.
Is my health record immediately available?
Information is typically available in the Patient Portal within 36 hours.
What should I do if I see a lab result, or something else in my record, that I have questions about?
Please contact your physician for questions regarding your results and all other health related questions.
What if I forgot my password?
Click on the “forgot password” link on the sign in page. At the prompt, provide your email address or user login and type the series of letters and numbers that you see. You will then receive an email.
Why was I logged out of the Patient Portal?
The privacy and security of your information is extremely important to us. If your session is inactive for 15 minutes or more, you will be automatically logged out. We recommend that you sign out of your health record if you need to leave your computer for even a short period of time.
If I believe that my health information is incorrect, who do I contact?
Please contact Bakersfield Heart Hospital’s Medical Records department at (661) 852-6478. The Medical Records department will work with you and your physician to ensure that your health record is accurate.
